User Awareness of Wearable IoT Devices Privacy Issues

Over the last decade, wearable devices' popularity and range of uses have increased significantly. This study aims to determine the level of privacy awareness among IoT wearable device users. A quantitative and descriptive questionnaire was used to collect data among Bahrain citizens. The TAM and KAB Models were applied, and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software was used to appropriately analyze the data and to perform the data validity, reliability, and hypotheses testing. The research findings confirmed that the research hypotheses knowledge, behavior, policy, and demographic data impact on the IoT wearable devices users’ privacy awareness level, and the privacy awareness level effect on the users’ actual use of IoT wearable devices with are valid and approved with 54.3% R square on awareness level, and 23.1% on the actual use.
