Designing GeoGebra Applet of Coordinate System for Fifth Graders: A Preliminary Study

Learning media is a component for visualizing mathematics learning materials for students in elementary schools. This study aims to develop the GeoGebra applet of coordinate system material for fifth-grade elementary school students. The research was conducted using a research and development method with a 4D development model. There are four stages of development: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The data collection technique used was a validation questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. Three experts carried out validation with the first validity result of 77.75% (valid). After revisions, the second stage of the validation process was carried out with a second validity result of 93.65% (very valid). Then, the study was tested with three fifth-grade students, and the results showed that the students had a positive attitude toward using the GeoGebra applet. Therefore, the GeoGebra applet of coordinate system material for fifth-grade elementary school students is feasible to be used in the learning process.
