Application of MSMA-based-Fuzzy plus PID controller's for battery management in microgrid

Microgrids are gaining popularity as a renewable energy alternative for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It combines distributed energy resources, energy storage, and local loads to create a self-sufficient energy network. However, these energy networks can function either in island or grid mode, which mainly varies on the upstream power source. Voltage stability is one of the primary concerns for that, there is a requirement for a battery storage device for this system is so important. However, battery energy management research increasingly uses new methodologies in the current research field. In this study shows how battery energy management (BEM) adjusts output power by using a fuzzy logic-based PID controller. Which can regulate operations function effectively with a modified slime mould algorithm (MSMA). The approach is simulated as well as validated in MATLAB 2020b to verify the BEM-based MSMA controller under five varied loads. Furthermore, this research effectively implements MSMA-based Fuzzy plus PID Control to achieve optimum power use.
