Analysis on the Design of Search and Rescue Underwater Robots

The employment of underwater robots for search and rescue has improved the ability and efficiency of conducting critical missions in water-related hazards. As complex systems, these underwater robots require elaborate engineering design. This paper reviewed the design theories currently used in the marine industry, together with the existing ROVs and AUVs designed for underwater search and rescue. By learning the state of art, helpful findings were discussed for the future design.
