Stability Analysis for Voltage Feed-Forward Control with Small-Signal DC Impedance Model

Regarding the dc grid vessel, the permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is a very efficient generation system. It requires the active front-end rectifier (AFE) to actively control the dc voltage in the dc grid system. In this case, the voltage feed-forward can make the system stable or unstable depending on the bandwidth of the dual-loop controller. In this paper, the stability of the PMSG+AFE’ system according to the control bandwidth of the dual-loop control is analyzed by a small-signal dc impedance model.
