A Model Predictive Current Control Method based on Boundary Restriction for Medium-speed Maglev Train

In this paper, a model predictive current control method based on boundary restriction (BR-MPCC) is proposed for the medium-speed maglev train. Compared with the traditional switching frequency decreasing method based on the cost function (CF-MPCC), the proposed novel method is free from weights and without changing the cost function itself. Simulation results show that the BR-MPCC scheme reduces the maximum switching frequency more effectively than the traditional CF-MPCC scheme with a similar current distortion.
