A Generalized Model for Distributed, Autonomic and Self-Organizing Computing

A General Collective Intelligence is a hypothetical platform able to organize individuals or intelligent agents to execute any computing process possible, and to do so through any possible cooperation process through which outcomes of that computing might be scaled. GCI assumes that all possible computing processes can be represented as paths in one functional state space (the conceptual space), and that all possible cooperation processes can be represented as paths in another (the cooperation state space). Through these functional state spaces GCI provides a general model hypothesized to be capable of representing all self-organizing behaviors of systems, and also provides a general model hypothesized to be capable of representing all autonomic computing behaviors. This paper explores how GCI might leverage those behaviors to exponentially increase capacity to solve computing and cooperation problems in distributed, autonomic, and self-organizing systems.
