Nitrogen Dioxide Detection by the Utilization of MoO3-based Gas Sensing Layer and Eight-port Reflectometer in the Microwave Frequency Range

) is one of the widely detected gases in various applications including the detection of environmental pollution where NO
2
is one of the major components, as well as, in industrial, medical, and occupational safety measurements. Nitrogen dioxide is also widely used to develop the complete reaction mechanism of the metal-oxide-based gas-sensitive layer due to its simplicity, which is based on the adsorption models. In this paper, the MoO
3
-based gas sensor that operates in the microwave frequency range was developed. The enhanced detection was observed due to the utilization of the eight-port reflectometer measurement method.
