Research on control of AMT shift Actuator Based on Backstepping

Due to inaccurate motor control used by the AMT shift actuator leads to the extension of shift time and shift quality problems. Therefore, this paper presents a backstepping control method for position tracking of electronically controlled automatic mechanical transmission. Therefore, this paper first establishes a controlled model combining the shifting actuator and brush DC motor model. Then, an extended state observer (ESO) is designed to solve the problem of unknowable interference in the system, and the final control rate is derived according to the backstepping control theory to realize the position tracking of the actuator. Finally, the model of AMT shift control system and controller is simulated by Simulink. The results show that the controller can make the actuator respond quickly and the control accuracy is high, which proves the effectiveness of the control scheme.
