Numerical Simulation of Inorganic Hole Transport Materials in Perovskite Solar Cells

Simulation of inverted planar perovskite solar cells for various inorganic materials as Hole Transport Material layer is presented using the standard software SCAPS-1D. We have investigated the influence thickness of both absorber and HTM layer. 600 nm is the optimum absorber thickness in all cases while the HTM optimum thickness depends on the kind of the material inserted as HTM. The HTM carrier concentration beyond 10
¹⁶
cm
⁻³
leads to an enhancement of all electrical parameters regardless to the material used as HTM. In addition, front contact work function is also studied. Further increase in the work function beyond 5 eV does not affect the device performance. The results exhibit that the inorganic materials GO, Cu
2
O, and CuSCN are a good candidates HTM for efficient perovskite solar cells, compared to the PEDOT:PSS, the efficiency yields an increase by 5,5 %, 0.6 %, and 0.45 %, respectively.
