Optimal Design of a SynRM Based Coupled FEMM-MATLAB Softwares

Current electromechanical power converters must meet new requirements in terms of performance, reliability and cost for various applications. Our work fits into this context with the study of a structure of synchronous reluctance machine (SynRM) which seems to meet these criteria for a high torque application. It will be about a pre-sizing a prototype of SynRM according to a predefined specifications then to optimize its mass torque via the geometry of its rotor. To achieve these two objectives, we propose an analytical-numerical approach implemented in an interactive software platform based on a coupling of the finite elements software FEMM with MATLAB. The obtained results are discussed and allow us to consider the realization of a prototype.
