Performances Improvement of PV Water Pumping System

This research discusses how an exemplary operation of a solar pumping system based on a Permanent magnet brushless direct current (PMBLDC) motor driving a centrifugal pump might be attained. The optimization task consists in optimizing the efficiency and the daily pumped water quantity. Furthermore, a comparison is conducted between the direct coupling (DC) of the system (without optimization), the optimization using the conventional technique (CM), and lastly, the optimization with the genetic algorithms (GA). The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach of genetic algorithms for the enhancement of efficiency and the maximum quantity of water pumped.
