Anti-resonant Fiber Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy for Fault Characteristic Gases Dissolved in Transformer Oil

The large oil-immersed power transformer is one of the most important equipment in the power system, and its security is crucial to the stable operation of the power grid. Under fault conditions, the insulating oil and solid insulating material of the transformer will decompose and generate various gases. Therefore, detection of characteristic fault gases dissolved in insulating oil is considered to be one of the most effective methods for diagnosing potential faults and aging conditions of oil-immersed transformers. Raman spectroscopy, as a non-consumptive, highly selective technique, is suitable for multi-gases detection. However, limited by the intrinsically weak Raman scattering process, the detection sensitivity is insufficient.
