Improving Temporal Distribution of Stable Cavitation Intensity Using a Controller Based on Real-time Intensity Detection

Stable cavitation has shown great potential for novel therapeutic applications. It is important to achieve controllable and desirable stable cavitation activity for improving therapeutic efficiency and biosafety. To improve stable cavitation activity with the exposure time, some closed-loop controllers have been developed to regulate the acoustic parameters of incident pulses. However, most of the proposed controllers which requires tens to hundreds of milliseconds to complete all calculations and regulation, can't real-time track the performance change of the flowing microbubbles. Based on a self-designed Field Programmable Gate Array system, this study aims to develop a real-time controller for regulating the temporal distribution of stable cavitation intensity.
