Experimental Test Approach for SEFI Categorization in Microprocessors

An experimental test approach to sort the different kinds of Single Functional Event Interrupts (SEFI) in microprocessors is presented. It relies on the configuration and use of the interrupt handler combined with an external watchdog. The efficiency of the approach is assessed with proton tests on two processors: a P2020 and a microcontroller Hercules from Texas Instruments for different test configurations.
