Development of Cobalt-based Amorphous Soft Magnetic Materials for Fluxgate Sensors

Soft magnetic cores are the core components of fluxgate sensors, and the performance of fluxgate sensors is limited due to the general foreign embargo of ultra-thin ultra-fine cobalt-based amorphous materials. To address these problems, this paper establishes a parametric model of high-performance magnetic cores and prepares the cores in terms of composition design and heat treatment process. The prepared cores are applied to the fluxgate sensor and compared with the international advanced commercial Mag03 sensor. The experimental results show that the stability and time domain noise of the fluxgate sensor with the homemade cores are comparable to those of the Mag03 sensor and are advanced to meet the application requirements of the fluxgate sensor.
