Control Strategy of Transient Process for Dual-Bridge Series Resonant Converter

Dual-bridge series resonant converter (DBSRC) has been widely used in DC networks as high-efficiency DC/DC conversion modules. However, in DBSRC, when the command of transmission power changes abruptly, there exists serious oscillation in the resonant tank, which threatens the safety of the converter and deteriorates the control performance. In this paper, first, the transient process arising from the sudden change of the transmission power command is analyzed. Then a transient model is established. Based on the model, a transient process control strategy is proposed, which can effectively eliminate the oscillation after one switching cycle, realizing the smooth and fast regulation of the transmission power. Finally, the experimental results based on a 1.5 kW prototype verify the performance of the control strategy.
