Wireless Charging ROV Based on Visual Location

Research on underwater wireless charging of Remote Operated Vehicle(ROV) is of great significance to improve the endurance and work efficiency of ROV. Aiming at the requirement of precise docking between ROV and underwater wireless charging station for charging, a wireless charging ROV system based on visual location developed. The visual ranging performance, mechanical positioning function and wireless charging performance of the system were tested. Within a range of 2m, the ranging error did not exceed 1%, the docking success rate was high, and the charging efficiency reached 85%. The experimental results show that the system works stably and can significantly improve the working efficiency of ROV.
