Ultrasonic Vibration-assisted µ-EDM Flow Field Numerical Simulation and Experiment Research

Traditional micro-electrical discharge machining has the problem of low processing efficiency. This article studies the method of ultrasonic vibration-assisted micro-electrical discharge machining. Through the combination of experiments and simulation, the micro-hole processing time and the flow rate of the flow field under different amplitude were compared, and the characteristics of ultrasonic auxiliary were summarized. After applying the ultrasonic vibration, the processing efficiency was improved by about 6 times.
