The Simulation Modeling of An Energy Drain Type Multifunctional Saturated Core Fault Current Limiter

In high-voltage AC power grids, the DC component of short-circuit current can cause serious structural and functional damage to the fault current limiter. In this paper, a topology structure of the energy drain branch type multifunctional saturated core fault current limiter (EDMFCL) that limits the DC component is proposed. And the accuracy and effectiveness of the structure of the EDMFCL are proved by simulation.
