Industrial and Economic Development of the Arctic Region in the XXI century (on the Example of Arkhangelsk Oblast)

The work is devoted to the problems and prospects of the industrial and economic development of the Arctic region. The relevance of the research topic is due to the program of strategic development of the Arctic region, its individual regions and areas of industrial production, transport, logistics and port infrastructure, the work of a large number of companies whose products are designed to work and live in conditions of extremely low temperatures, the training of professionals in various areas of innovative support for the development of the Arctic. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the justification and definition of an integrated approach to the industrial development of industrial, transport and logistics capacities of the Arctic region on the example of Arkhangelsk Oblast; consideration of the principles, methods and tools for the development of the region in case of the integrated development of the territory, based on the introduction of innovative and most progressive industries. Also, the scientific novelty lies in the integrated analytical approach and recommendations for the application of this approach in the regions of the Far North while implementing Arctic projects and developing the Northern Sea Route.
