Blocking Probability Analysis for Energy Efficient Next Generation Green Cognitive Radio Networks

In the present scenario, Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) plays an important role in designing the 5G and B5G wireless communication networks. In next-generation networks, there will be a large of users, and this huge data requirement demands improvement in the quality of service (QoS) and energy efficiency (EE) and decrements in blocking probability. The CRNs technology help to solve the major issues of 5G, like seamless connectivity, call blocking and power management, etc. In this work, we analyze the blocking probability, outage probability, and energy efficiency of cognitive users (CUs) in the CRNs. These parameters are envisioned as key parameters to examine the overall network performance. We analyze the blocking probability of a network where a user is blocked due to the unavailability of resources. The simulation results reveal the performance of CUs in terms of EE and BP. The analysis presented in this work will be helpful for the deployment of energy-efficient ultra-dense network because results show that the CU’s EE improves with the increase in availability of resources of primary networks.
