IoT Based Household Water Consumption Management System

Upgrading and connecting house water counters with a digital monitoring dashboard is a promising approach of household water consumption management. In the current paper, the research aimed to design a smart water meter that is installed in household and connect it to its digital monitoring platform to monitor and predict water demand. The meter also provides notifications to users about water they are using. The research also aimed to build a predictive machine learning model which uses dataset from house meters data, population growth rate in Kigali city.The model was successfully built using Random Forest algorithm with 96.1 percent and 91.3 percent of training and testing accuracies respectively.
