Application of Generalized Model Predictive Control in Automatic Weighting Scale

A generalized predictive controller for an automatic weighting scale system is designed. In the system, industrial noise disturbance and other uncertain characteristics of the system increase control difficulty, and traditional PID cannot satisfy the demand of it. A generalized predictive control (GPC) has the better robustness. Therefore, a GPC is applied in this system. The validation of the designed controller is shown by experimental results.
