Sliding mode control for the uncertain switched systems subject to Rice channel fading

In this work, the sliding mode control (SMC) problem is investigated for uncertain switched systems subject to the channel fading. Here, the Lth-order Rice fading model is adopted to describe the phenomenon of channel fading, where the channel coefficients are mutually independent random variables. A key issue of this work is how to guarantee the mean-square exponentially stability of the closed-loop switched systems. To this end, a suitable sliding mode controller is designed. By employing Lyapunov function and average dwell time, some sufficient conditions are established such that the reachability with a sliding domain around the pre-specified sliding surface is achieved, meanwhile, the exponential stability of the resultant closed-loop switched systems is guaranteed.
