Changes in the Technological Industry Environment and the Direction of Copyright Protection Policy

Recently, the whole world recognizes the need for a change in copyright policy in the digital world and strives to create a copyright protection policy that is more relevant to the reality. Korea also recognizes the need for a change in copyright protection policy in the digital environment. However, the lack of full-scale re-search has yet to take place, causing copyright issues under the digital environ-ment. The purpose of this chapter is to look at areas that may be problematic in accordance with changes in the digital environment in the current copyright law, and to examine the movement of copyright reform at the six national level, includ-ing the United States, Britain, EU, Canada, Australia and Japan, to examine our policy direction and to present us with appropriate policy direction by comparing our country and foreign environment.
