High Intensity Spintronic Terahertz Emitter with ITO and Microsheet Glass Structure

We demonstrate that an indium tin oxide (ITO) film and microsheet glass layer can be used to increase the intensity of terahertz (THz) radiation from spintronic THz emitters (STEs). In this work, the backward-radiated THz waves of a Pt/Fe bilayer are reflected by an ITO film and subsequently phase-controlled by a microsheet glass to constructively superimpose with forward-radiated THz waves, thereby enhancing the THz emission.
