Terahertz time resolved spectroscopy of monolayer graphene

Graphene, a flat monolayer is fabricated by chemical vapour deposition (CVD) and transferred in the form of ultrathin graphitic film on Si (100)/SiO
2
substrates and; characterized in transmission mode using terahertz-time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) at room temperature. The results shows that the four different frequency band are possible in our developed graphene including 0.12, 0.55, 0.83 and 1.35 THz i.e., the peaks correspond to the higher resonance of carbon atoms in graphene due to maximum light matter interaction which shows that it is suitable for development of tunable THz detection devices.
