Constant Current Constant Voltage for Precise Lithium-Ion Battery Charging

Currently, electric vehicles have begun to be used in various countries. In some countries, their combined with renewable energy. Renewable energy that is often used in the battery charging process is solar panel. Even so, the solar panel have fluctuating current and voltage because the weather influences them. The process of charging electric vehicle batteries must be done in a short time. High current and voltage can shorten the charging duration. However, high current and voltage charging can cause the battery to be damaged. The fluctuating current and voltage of the solar panels require a converter to match battery requirements. To prevent damage to the battery, it is necessary to select an appropriate charging method to regulate the charging power flow. Thus, in this research, a lithium-ion battery fast charging battery system was simulated using a solar panel source connected to the SEPIC Converter and used Constant Current Constant Voltage method (CCCV). Based on the results obtained through simulation testing of the Fast Charging Lithium-Ion battery system, it is proven that the Fuzzy method can adjust the lithium battery charging system according to the setting point with a voltage error of 0.28% and a current error of 4%.
