Speed Control of Synchronous Motor using Neurofuzzy Technique

Synchronous motors have a significant role in power houses as they may be used for power factor correction. In applications where a constant speed is required, these motors may be used. It runs at constant speed synchronized with the frequency of applied 3 phase ac. The present article addresses the speed control of a synchronous motor. Having identified its transfer function model in MATLAB on basis of raw data, the PI and Neurofuzzy control systems are developed for it using MATLAB.
