Design and Implementation of Readout Electronic Trigger for Dark Matter Prototype Detector Based on Liquid Argon

A real-time, flexible, and scalable readout electronic trigger is presented in this paper, for the liquid argon (LAr) dark matter prototype detector. In physical experiment detection, the real-time performance of the trigger system is particularly important. Although there is always a delay between the actual waveform and the trigger signal, we need to make this delay as small as possible to ensure the real-time characteristic of the trigger system. At the same time, as the purpose of physical experiments changes and the scale of experiments expands, different scenarios have different requirements for triggering, and it is necessary to ensure that the trigger system is scalable to meet flexible experimental needs. Based on the above design considerations of the trigger system, this paper designs a trigger system with a trigger delay of less than 200ns, a variety of trigger modes configurable, and an external trigger to achieve system expansion for the dark matter prototype detector based on liquid argon.
