Investigation on adjustment effect of V2O5 on the microstructure, magnetic and dielectric properties of M-type barium ferrites

ferrites ceramics for high frequency were synthesized. To improve properties of M-type barium (BaM) ferrites through doping V
2
O
5
additive. It has been proved that V
2
O
5
can be used to control and adjust the microstructure of ferrites at 1000 °C. The results demonstrate that the properties of the samples are closely related to their microstructure and densification. Finally, by adding the optimal of 3 wt.% V
2
O
5
, a compact and density M-type barium (BaM) ferrites ceramic with uniform grains synthesized. Notably, the saturation magnetization increased from 2488.90 to 3246.64 Gauss. The permittivity value increased to 21.07 at 1 GHz. Also, V
2
O
5
makes BaM ferrite ceramics promising to be a good candidate for the preparation of ferrite circulators. Meanwhile, this study provides a reference for controlling and adjusting the properties of sintering M-type barium ferrites ceramics.
