C-V2X Solution for SPAT Application and Maintenance

This paper presents a C-V2X (Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything) SPAT (Signal Phase and Timing Message) solution and its operation and maintenance (O&M) function. As a V2I (Vehicle-to-Infrastructure) application, SPAT can improve road safety and efficiency by sending traffic signal information to autonomous vehicle for its decision whether to slow down or change the route. Using our protocol design and maintenance solution, a successful deployment is achieved.
