A Brief Review on Multi level Inverter Methodology Topologies and Techniques

Multi-level inverters contribute to the industrial and research community due to the need in high power and medium voltage applications. It will be significantly better in case that the voltage level of the inverter exceeds the waveform. This type of inverter is capable of reducing harmonics and distortion. The multi-level converter is a method to generate high voltages from low voltages wave components. This paper discusses various topologies like Flying capacitor multi-level inverter, Cascade H-Bridge Multi level inverter and Diode clamped multi-level inverter that is separated from dc sources. Various types of switching schemes are also discussed in this paper.
