Channel Polarization Analysis Using BEC

This work deals with a phenomenon called channel polarization, There is a fact that says that it is possible to connect N group of identical independent channels B-DMC W of capacity I(W) in a certain way to obtain a second group so that the specifications of the identical channels change to others with different capacities. Some of them increase their capacity to reach one I(W)≅1, and the other particles decrease their capacity to reach zero I(W) ≅ 0, and this is called channel polarization, which has an impact on the coding process (channel coding). To ensure the reliability of the transmission, we send information only on good channels with high capacity and we freeze others with low capacity. In this work, we study the effect of channel polarization on BEC (binary erasure channel) and we get good results.
