Slot waveguide microring resonator based on silicon nitride for refractive index sensing

In this paper, a Silicon Nitride Slot waveguide-based ring resonator has been designed, simulated, and analyzed using numerical methods. The proposed structure achieved a maximum Q-Factor of 551.6. The structure shows a sensitivity of 42.1nm/RIU. This can be utilized in refractive index sensing applications.
