An Dynamic Adaptive Slicing Algorithm Based on Improved Greedy Algorithm

Additive manufacturing technology is an important manufacturing technology, and 3D printing is one of the most important additive manufacturing technologies. Compared with the traditional manufacturing mode, the 3D printing technique has strong flexibility and avoids complex processing technology, which can improve production efficiency. Slicing the 3D model is an important step before 3D printing, this step is directly related to the printing accuracy. There will be a staircase effect between the Adjacent sliced layers, which will weaken the surface quality of the printing model. At the same time, the 3D printing process is generally time-consuming and restricts manufacturing efficiency. Based on an improved greedy algorithm method, a dynamic programming algorithm is proposed in this article, which considers the influence of printing accuracy and printing time. After verification, the algorithm in this paper can significantly reduce the staircase effect where the model surface profile changes rapidly, and save printing time to a certain extent.
