A Broadband Frequency Selective Rasorber with Two-Sided Absorption Bands for Radome Application

In this paper, a frequency selective rasorber with wide absorption bands is presented. The unit cell of the design is comprised of a resistive sheet and a triple-layer bandpass frequency selective surface. The wide absorption band is obtained by single layer resistive sheet loaded with graphene film. A circular spiral resonator is designed to provide a transmission window in the resistive element. Besides, the adopted lossy layer is lumped components-free, the complexity and cost of the fabrication can be further reduced. By selecting appropriate loading positions of graphene film and scanning parameter optimization, two-sided absorption bands which covering 2.8 GHz-6.0 GHz and 12.6 GHz-15.7 GHz can be obtained under normal incident wave. A transmission coefficient larger than -3 dB from 7.5 GHz-10.0 GHz are also observed in the simulation within the incident angle of 30°.
