Analysis of GNSS Trans-ionospheric signals for identification of Ionospheric Scintillations

Navigation systems like IRNSS/GPS/SBAS play an influential part in accurately determining user position. Ionospheric irregularities will deteriorate the Navigation information, radio propagation and effects the Trans-ionospheric communications of the radio waves. Therefore, such irregularities are the most troubling factors for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) users. Thus, characterization, prediction and detection of ionospheric irregularities have turned into crucial investigation obstacles exclusively in the vicinity of low latitudes. In this work, the compression rate of change of total electron content index (ROTI) and amplitude scintillation index (S

) are computed and analyzed for a day long data to identify the ionospheric irregularities.
