An Optimized Tilted Controller for Core Relative Power Control of Nuclear Reactor

In this paper, a tilted fractional integral controller is designed to manage core relative power of a molten salt breeder reactor (MSBR) system. In the proposed control structure, a tilted control action is used instead of conventional proportional control action. The order of integral control action in the proposed control scheme is chosen in fractional order. The optimal parameters of the proposed controller for the MSBR system are found by adapting sine-cosine coefficient based CTO algorithm. The proposed optimized controller is investigated for core power control under load tracking with step power disruption in the MSBR system. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is examined for the system by comparing with existing results.
