Modeling Technologies from Analog/Mixed-Signal Circuit Designer Viewpoint

This paper discusses device modeling from the viewpoint of analog and mixed-signal (AMS) circuit design. It is shown that modeling knowledge is beneficial for circuit design and device technologies, while circuit research results can contribute to simulation technologies. Also, the modeling and simulation technologies to be developed for AMS design are addressed. Further, it is emphasized that the environment for prevailing of the modeling technology is important.
