Evaluation of Hard Fusion Sensing Techniques under AWGN and Rayleigh Flat-fading channel for Cognitive Radio Network

This paper describes the different hard fusion spectrum sensing techniques. Performance is analyzed from the numerical value of probabilities obtained through MATLAB software. This work commences showing the enhancement in performance of sensing from one user detection to multiple user detection and is extended further to hard fusion detection. Various hard fusion rules are implemented and the results are compared along with the Single User and Multi User detection schemes. The ROC and CROC curves show that OR is the best policy for fusion, as it gives the best value of detection probability and least value of missed detections. The curves in each graph verify that OR rule shown the best performance in both the AWGN and the RAYLEIGH channel. The signal detection probability increases linearly with an increasing value of SNR. It is best analyzed at -10dB.
