Simulation of the Solar Module Considering the Influence of Internal and External Parameters in MATLAB/Simulink

The article touches upon the topic of photovoltaic modules degradation. Working outdoors, solar modules are exposed to various external factors. Various combinations of external factors can affect the mechanical and electrical strength of the module in different ways. There are several reasons due to which the module may reduce its power. The article considers the influence of the external parameters of the environment, as well as the internal parameters of the solar module on the change in the shape of the I-V characteristics. The main external and internal factors affecting the operation of the photovoltaic module are noted. It also describes the relationship between changing the value of the module parameters and the causes of degradation. On the basis of the exponential equation, current-voltage characteristics are constructed for various parameters.
