Affordable Custom made Physiological Measurement Instrumentation Based on Raspberry PI

Physiological measurement is in the center of several implications in healthcare, accurate recording and processing those signals allow extraction of several health characteristics information that scientific community needs. Biopotential, bioimpedance and optical measurement are non-invasive approaches to measure and evaluate human body conditions and activity. This paper presents the feasibility of acquiring non-invasively physiological signals using an affordable custom-made measurement device based on Raspberry PI. The acquired signals waveform presents a satisfactory result and are acceptable, encouraging and converge to literature result. Thus, it shows that the device can be used for relatively several biomedical applications for supporting developers in research and engineering education.
