Performance Analysis of DCF Compensation Techniques

Dispersion is belonging to optical fiber, which causes the spreading of light inside the core of the optical fiber due to propagation putting off the spread of different spectral components of the transmitted signal which results in pulse broadening of the transmitted signal. Since the optical fibers will transfer the data at very high speeds, because of pulse broadening the BER is excessive and the quality of the acquired signal at the receiver may be very terrible. On the way to get hold of the signal with high-quality, which means with low BER charges. Different dispersion compensation techniques are used to compensate for the dispersion losses. In this paper, three compensation techniques are compared using 4 channel WDM system. These techniques are compared in terms of Max Q factor, Min BER, and Eye Height.
