ARESTOR: A Multi-role RF Sensor based on the Xilinx RFSoC

In this paper we present ARESTOR, a multi-role RF sensor based on a Xilinx RFSoC device. The system is capable of operating as an active radar, passive radar and wideband Electronic Surveillance (ES) receiver. The system design, and development framework used to enable these modes of operation is summarised. Preliminary results from each of the sensing modes are presented demonstrating what is possible from each mode. Furthermore, a strategy for synchronising multiple RFSoC devices is explored and bistatic active radar measurements using two synchronised RFSoCs shown.
