Offshore Platform Neutral Grounding Study and Design

Offshore wind power is the top priority of power construction in coastal provincial capitals in the future. At present, offshore wind turbines are generally connected to land through substations. In the face of the rapid development of offshore wind farm construction, reasonable selection of the grounding mode at the low-voltage side of the substation will significantly improve the operation reliability of the windfarm and avoid equipment damage caused by grounding fault. By analyzing the methods of neutral grounding and investigating European offshore windfarms, this paper puts forward the grounding mode that can be used for the construction of offshore windfarms in China, which can be used for the implementation of future projects.
