Matlab software designed for 3D localization by a multistatic UWB radar

One of the possible approaches to the three-dimensional (3D) localization based on a multistatic ultra-wideband (UWB) radar system, which works with more than three channels, is the application of the so-called direct localization method in 3D. Redundancy of the number of receiving channels can be theoretically used to refine the estimated positions of targets. Such a 3D localization approach is then intended to increase the accuracy of person positioning, as well as the robustness of the localization system as a whole. The software implementation of this idea in the Matlab programming environment is the scope of this paper. The first experimental results suggest that the proposed localization software implementation is fully functional and slightly more accurate in comparison to another 3D localization method.
