Diet observation is one of the principal aspects in precautionary healthcare. Overweight, obesity, diet-related diseases are major problems which lead to health risks. World Health Organization says that overweight and obesity kill more people in the world. Contrary children need somebody to support their meal consumption. In the present-day world, children are being sent to childcare centers so there is a requirement that a preprogrammed meal noticing system aids in tracking food intake. This paper describes many food weight detection systems which includes sensor systems consisting of a load cell, manual food waste method, wearable sensors. Load cells are preferred over force sensors by their cost and reliability. Instead of automated, almost all the monitoring is self-supported about nutrition. Subsequently, individuals can effortlessly estimate caloric consumption and amount. Imprecision of nutritional actuality is that the number of calories and their malfunction perhaps could be difficult for approximation. Meanwhile, strengths and limitations of new approaches are discussed in this paper.
