Radiation of Array Constructed of Thin Wires

The radiation properties of array, which is built of a set of thin metallic wires, are studied in paper. The diffraction characteristics of array are determined in the framework of an asymptotic approach. One allows to get the analytical formula for the electromagnetic (EM) components of field with the subsequent explicit representation of the radiation pattern (RP) components. The optimization problem leads in chose the geometrical parameters of array elements, namely number of wires their radius and arrangement in the given area. The computations demonstrate the ability of creating the RPs close to the sought one.
